Correct Method for Replacement of a LUBER Cartridge (700cc)
The entrapment of air and/or foreign objects in the system is pricipal cause of operating problems
EGM Model
1. Turn the cover counter-clockwise by hand and remove it from the pump.
2. Turn the empty cartridge also in the counter-clockwise direction and remove it from the pump.
Ensure that only the recommended grease is used.
Do not attempt to refill a used cartridge with grease. Usage of such a cartridge will result in operating problems.
* The use of inappropriate grease, the entry of foreign objects, and the entrapment of air will result in a faulty system.
3. Squeeze approximately 1 cm of grease from the new cartridge as shown in the photograph.
* This is to prevent entry of air which disturbs correct feed of grease.
4. Attach the cartridge by turning it in the clockwise direction while positioning the extracted grease inside the pump suction port.
Take special care at this time to ensure that foreign objects do not enter the system.
5. Assemble the cover by turning it fully in the clockwise direction.
6. Start the pump and confirm that it operates normally.If an alarm is triggered, it will probably indicate that air has been trapped in the system.
